I've noticed that tumbling is exhausting. Doing four forward rolls (the kind where you roll all the way through, not the
forward breakfall where you dive and end up flat on your back) requires a surprising amount of energy. If you ever want to get a lot of exercise quickly, do a bunch of rolls. It might seem more exhausting than it is because it also makes me dizzy, though. I hope I get acclimated to that someday. Whatever the reason, it was the most draining part of judo last night, next to randori. I was sweating ridiculously thickly at the end of warm-ups. Maybe it's just because I'm tensing up a lot because it's kind of awkward for me.
